How to find a maker (second character) in Tibia
Every war team knows the problem: the enemy disappears from the map but still knows where your guild is hunting. It is almost always a maker, a second character on the same account used to spy, carry items or bomb. Finding out who that character is changes the game, and you can do it with public information only.
The rule that gives the maker away
In Tibia and most OTs, an account can only have one character online at a time. When the player wants to use the maker, they must log out the main and log in the other one. That switch leaves a trail: the main leaves the online list and, a few seconds later, the maker shows up.
A single switch proves nothing, because many people log in and out at the same time on a busy world. But when the same character shows up right after the target leaves on five, ten, twenty different occasions, the coincidence stops being a coincidence.
The manual way (and why it wears you out)
- Keep the world's online list open and follow the target.
- When they log out, write down who logged in that same minute and the next one.
- Do the opposite when they log in: write down who left right before.
- Repeat for days and cross-check your notes: whoever shows up most is the suspect.
- Rule out anyone who was ever online together with the target: they cannot be on the same account.
It works, but it needs someone watching the list all day, and a world with a thousand players online produces hundreds of logins per hour. That is exactly the kind of work a bot does better.
With the TXBot !scan command
TXBot reads the server's online list every minute and keeps every login and logout for 230 days. On TeamSpeak, any guild member sends the bot a private message:
!scan Nome do Inimigo
The bot analyzes the last 180 days of switches, counts how many times each character showed up right after the target left (or left right before the target joined), rules out anyone who was online together with them, and replies with the suspects in order: first those with two or more switches, then those seen only once.
If the server's website shows the account's other characters, the bot lists those too. The reply also says how long the target was observed and how many switches were counted, so you know how much to trust the result.
Tips for a better result
- Time helps. The more weeks of history, the more switches the bot has seen and the clearer the suspect becomes.
- It is evidence, not proof. Use
!charlogs Nameto see a suspect's logins and!check Nameto see level, vocation and which lists they are on. - Found it? Add the maker to the hunted list with a comment:
!hunted add Maker Name, maker of So-and-so. Everyone in the guild gets a poke when they log in.
See every command on the commands page and how to set up the list in the hunted list on TeamSpeak guide.
Try TXBot free for 3 days: no card needed, and the bot joins your TeamSpeak in a few minutes.
