How to organize respawns with a queue on TeamSpeak
Spreadsheets, a channel with names typed by hand, people shouting on TS that they got there first. Every big guild has been through it. A respawn queue solves it: each hunt has a code, whoever wants to hunt claims it through the bot, and whoever arrives later joins the queue and is warned when their turn comes.
How it works
- Hunt catalog. In the panel, load the ready-made Tibia catalog or import your server's list. Each respawn gets a short code, like a1.
- Claiming a respawn. In a private message to the bot:
!resp a1. If it is free, it is yours for the time set in the panel. - Queue. Taken? The same command puts you in the queue.
!next a1joins the queue without claiming it now. - 5-minute warning. With 5 minutes left (adjustable), whoever is hunting gets a poke, and so does the first in the queue, so they can head over.
- Automatic handover. When time runs out, the first in the queue gets a poke and has a few minutes to accept with
!resp a1. If they do not accept, the turn passes to the next one.
Everything visible on TS
The Occupied respawns channel shows in real time who is on each hunt, how much time is left and who is in the queue. Clicking on the name of whoever holds the respawn lets you send a poke or a message. Anyone who leaves TeamSpeak for more than a few minutes loses the respawn, so nobody holds a hunt from afar.
!respawnslists every respawn and who is on each one.!respinfo a1shows who is there, the time left and the queue.!resphistory a1shows who used it in the last 24 hours.!leave a1frees the respawn or takes you out of the queue.- Admins have
!clean a1to remove someone and!resppause a1to pause the timer.
The queue works together with the hunted list: while hunting, you get a poke if an enemy logs in. The full list of commands is on the commands page.
Try TXBot free for 3 days: no card needed, and the bot joins your TeamSpeak in a few minutes.
