How to split party loot in Tibia (with a calculator)

Quick answer: Add up everyone's balance (loot minus supplies) in the Party Hunt Analyzer and divide by the number of players: that is each one's share. Whoever ended above the share transfers the difference to whoever ended below; TXBot's !split and the site calculator do the math and hand you the transfer ready to use.

The hunt is over, everyone wants to go to bed and the talk starts: who looted what, who spent more potions, who owes how much to whom. With four people and loot spread over four backpacks, doing the math in your head always goes wrong. The good news is that Tibia itself already gives you almost everything.

What does the Party Hunt Analyzer show?

The Tibia client's Party Hunt Analyzer follows the party session and shows three numbers for each member: Loot (the value of what they looted), Supplies (what they spent on potions, runes and ammo) and Balance, which is loot minus supplies. The session total sits at the top. The loot value depends on the price type chosen in the analyzer (Market or NPC price), so agree beforehand which one the party will use.

How do you work out who pays whom?

A fair split is simple: everyone ends the hunt with the same profit. The math has three steps:

  1. Add up everyone's balance. That is the party's profit (or loss).
  2. Divide by the number of players. That is each one's share.
  3. Whoever has a balance above the share pays the difference; whoever is below receives the difference.

An example with four players. Sir Thorn looted almost everything and ended with a balance of 1,200,000 gp; Lyra Frost with 300,000; Mago Rubro with 200,000; and Kael Arrow spent more than he looted, ending at -100,000. The sum is 1,600,000 gp, so each one gets 400,000.

  • Sir Thorn is 800,000 above the share: he is the one who pays.
  • Kael Arrow needs 500,000 (from -100,000 up to 400,000).
  • Mago Rubro needs 200,000 and Lyra Frost needs 100,000.
  • Result: Sir Thorn transfers 500,000 to Kael Arrow, 200,000 to Mago Rubro and 100,000 to Lyra Frost.

Note that whoever ended negative did not “lose” the hunt: they just spent supplies that helped everyone loot. That is why the split goes by balance, not by loot.

How do you make the bank transfer?

The money goes through the bank NPC, using the transfer command. In the example, Sir Thorn would talk to the banker and use transfer 500000 to Kael Arrow, then confirm. Check the name carefully: a transfer to the wrong character does not come back on its own.

What should you agree on before the hunt?

Most loot fights are not about math, they are about what was agreed. Five minutes before leaving town save half an hour of arguing later:

  • Loot price: Market or NPC. A rare item valued at Market price may be worth much more than anyone can actually sell it for.
  • Rare items: do they go into the split like everything else, or does whoever looted keep it and pay everyone their part?
  • Losses are split too: a hunt that ended negative is split evenly, just like a profit.
  • Leaving early: settle right away with the analyzer up to that point, or wait for the end?

Party share: the 2/3 level rule

Splitting loot is agreed among you; splitting experience depends on the game. For shared experience to work, the lowest level in the party must be at least 2/3 of the highest. A level 300 shares with levels 200 to 450. A 200 and a 320, however, do not share: with the 320, the lowest would need to be level 214 or more. On top of that, everyone must be taking part in the hunt and close to each other. Some OTs change this rule.

The calculator and TXBot's !split

On the Tibia calculators page you paste the Party Hunt Analyzer text (the analyzer's own copy button) and get each one's share and who pays how much to whom, with the transfer ready to use. It all runs in the browser, free, no sign-up. If the players' sum does not match the session total, it warns you the text may have been cut.

With TXBot on your guild's TeamSpeak, the same math comes out in a private message to the bot, without leaving TS: send !split and paste the analyzer text right after it. The short form, with balances typed by hand, also works:

!split Fulano 400k, Ciclano -50k

To check before the hunt whether everyone shares experience, use !party 300 (the range that shares with level 300) or !party 300 420 (do these two share?). The other commands are on the commands page.

Frequently asked questions

Do I split by loot or by balance?

By balance. It already subtracts each player's supplies, so whoever spent more potions holding the hunt together does not end up losing.

What if the hunt lost money?

The math is the same: the loss is split evenly and whoever lost less than the share pays whoever lost more. !split shows how much each one covers.

What is the level rule for sharing experience?

On global Tibia, the lowest level in the party must be at least 2/3 of the highest: a level 300 shares with levels 200 to 450. Some OTs change this rule.

Do I need TXBot to use the calculator?

No. The site calculator is free and runs in your browser. The bot just brings the same math into TeamSpeak with the !split command.

Try TXBot free for 3 days: no card needed, and the bot joins your TeamSpeak in a few minutes.
