Stamina in Tibia: how long it takes to recover

Stamina is the clock that limits how much you hunt per day in Tibia. It shows in the skills panel, goes up to 42:00 and drops while you hunt. Understanding how it comes back is what separates the player who hunts every day with the bonus from the one who spends the week in the orange.

What are the stamina ranges?

• 42:00 to 39:00 (green): the good range. Premium characters get an experience bonus while it lasts.
• 39:00 to 14:00: normal experience.
• Below 14:00 (orange): the character only gets half the experience.
• 0:00: no experience and no loot from monsters.

How does stamina come back?

Stamina only recovers while the character is logged out, and it does not start right away: the first 10 minutes offline do not count. After that:

• Up to 39:00: 1 minute of stamina comes back for every 3 minutes offline. One hour of stamina costs 3 hours logged out.
• From 39:00 to 42:00 (green): 1 minute comes back for every 6 minutes offline. One hour of green costs 6 hours logged out.

That gives the two numbers everyone asks about: refilling the whole green, from 39:00 to 42:00, takes 18 hours offline (plus the first 10 minutes). And going from 0:00 to 42:00 takes about 135 hours: 117 hours up to 39:00, plus 18 hours of green, plus the 10 minutes. More than five and a half days without logging in.

Worked examples

• Stamina 38:20. 40 minutes to the green: 40 × 3 = 120 minutes, plus the 10-minute wait = 2h10 offline. To fill it: 3 more hours of green × 6 = 18 hours, 20h10 in total.
• Stamina 41:00. Already green. 1 hour of green left: 60 × 6 = 360 minutes, plus 10 = 6h10 offline.
• Stamina 30:00. 9 hours to 39:00: 9 × 3 = 27 hours, plus 10 minutes = 27h10 to the green, and 45h10 to fill it.
• Stamina 14:00. 25 hours to the green, which become 75 hours offline: 75h10 to the green and 93h10 to fill it.

How much can you hunt per day without losing the green?

The math that matters if you hunt every day (each hour of hunting uses about one hour of stamina): starting at 42:00, three hours of hunting take stamina down to 39:00, and recovering those three hours of green needs 18h10 offline. That leaves 21 hours in the day, so you can repeat tomorrow with full stamina. With four hours of hunting, stamina drops to 38:00 and getting it back needs 21h10 offline, more than the 20 hours left in the day: each day you start a little lower. In short, about three hours of hunting a day is what fits if you want to always start with full stamina.

How do you plan your hunting week?

Notice that the expensive part is the green: each hour of it costs twice as much as a regular hour to get back. If you hunt a lot one day and little the next, you can use that to your advantage. A long six-hour hunt starting full leaves stamina at 36:00: that is 9h10 offline to get back to the green and 27h10 to fill it again. In other words, after a heavy day, a whole day off gives back almost all the green. If you play every day, short and steady hunts pay off more, without sinking below 39:00. And if you are close to 14:00, stop before it: below that, every hour hunted gives half the experience and still costs three hours to recover.

A practical tip: logging in just to check something restarts the 10-minute wait when you log out again. If the character is recovering, avoid logging in and out for nothing.
